FIRST EVER ONLINE BRAINOBRAIN COMPETITION

AN ONLINE BRAINOBRAIN COMPETITION?

After COVID-19 has hit the world, the order has been disrupted and everything is affected by it. The institution of Brainobrain used to conduct a district, regional and national level fest every year, but this year, it had to be halted. But, was social distancing and self-quarantine enough to interrupt the fest?
No one ever said the fest cannot be in our own safe haven, our home that is.

In the month of June, a regional level Brainobrain Online Fest was conducted. This competition was the first ever online competition to be conducted by brainobrain, a first even among the 42 countries in which brainobrain is established. The competition was conducted by Brainobrain UP Regional Head Mr. Anuraag Khetan along with the core committee of UP. The duration of the competition was 15 days, with a total of 107 40-minute sessions. This competition was a test run and a learning opportunity, so it was completely free of charge and any and all students were welcome.

AFTERMATH OF THE COMPETITION

The competition turned out to be a huge success, with more than 7500 students taking part. Every student was awarded a participation certificate, and many won gold and silver medals. Another unforeseen outcome was a reunion of the alumni of brainobrain. Brainobrain has been part of lives of many students. Friendships were formed and bonds were forged. An online competition helped us connect to our alumni who were close-by or far away.  Many alumni were able to connect again and each and everyone enjoyed the competition, feeling the thrill, the chills and the rush of it after years.

It is a privilege for all of us to be a part of this family, and together do we thrive.

WHY BRAINOBRAIN? BRAIN AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT In human beings, the learning power of brain cells is maximum upto the age of 18 years. During this time, children try to gather as much information in the form of knowledge as they can. Along with knowledge, they also learn different skills which help them go further in life. Skill by definition is the ability to do a particular task. We should think of brain as a muscle of the human body. Say, when you lift a dumbbell for the first time, you might not be able to hold it for long. But as the muscles in our arms develop, we slowly get used to it and are able to hold it longer. This development in muscles can be called a skill with reference to our brain. Therefore skill development is just as important as knowledge and skills are what help a person to apply his/her knowledge in the practical world. There are different skills we learn in life and we can never tell which one helps where. WHAT IS BRAINOBRAIN Brainobrain is an advanced ...
